Michelle Bachmann and I Agree On Something
We need to get more in line. Everybody benefits from this magnificent country. Everybody pay something.
Michele Bachmann to Bloomberg TV
But by “everybody” I mean those who benefited the most from living and working in America, and Michele Bachmann means people who don’t pay federal income taxes BECAUSE THEY DON’T EARN ENOUGH TO QUALIFY FOR PAYING PAYROLL TAXES. (These tax-vacationing freeloaders merely pay payroll, state, local and excise taxes.)
Ah, hell, Jon Stewart explains it better:
When did the GOP get all pro-tax? I thought they were don’t-tax-but-spend-anyway. If they’re tax-AND-spend, then what name will they call the left? Are fiscal conservatives getting dizzy and passing out right now? Is the Tea Party wailing and gnashing teeth?
If anybody needs convincing that balancing this country’s budget by taking more money from those who have the least is bad economics and bad for society, then I’ll do some more reading and get back to you.
In the meantime I’ll let Jon Stewart explain why IT WOULDN’T EVEN WORK:
That second clip is the best work he’s done this year. I remember watching it twice and sharing it on Facebook when it came out. Absolute genius.
Super heard. If Jon Stewart ever turns to the dark side I will be hosed because I have drunk ALL OF HIS KOOL-AID.
