Blue Shield — Follow Up

(Previously)

Blue Shield refunded my monies! Woooooot!

For various reasons — perhaps because I disputed the charge via my credit card company, too — I got refunded twice.

Double refund! What does it mean?!

So last week I sent Blue Shield a check for $91.80 and the following letter:

July 26, 2010

To Whom It May Concern:

Thank you for refunding the amount I was charged for July coverage. I appreciate the effort it took to fix this charge, and the expedience with which your department solved my problem.

Yet I note that I have been refunded TWICE for the July amount!

Perhaps this is due to my disputing the charge via my credit card company as well your department?

Enclosed is a check for $ 91.80, made out to Blue Shield, for you to apply as necessary.

Please let me know if this solution is unsatisfactory. Thank you for your help.

Sincerely,
Victoria Hoke

Ah, you should never send checks for credit card adjustments (unless it’s to the card company to pay off your card). If it’s all charged electronically they will fix this stuff through the credit process. Though I saw that you finally got all this wrapped up, fyi for the future. On their end getting an action reversed takes a click of a button and usually 3-10 days waiting time.

That’s why I made a scan of the check before I sent it off.

    Heh heh heh.

  3. I’ll bet you 98 cents and 800 mills you get a phone call from a bill collector about this on or before 2011 August 02.
